The Head of E-commerce Europe & Amazon is responsible for growing the BISSELL Brand across all Amazon and Online Pure players in Europe. This digitally and data savvy individual will have had experience managing multiple P&L’s to achieve sales and profit targets in Consumer Goods categories. And plays a central role in accelerating BISSELL’s digital and E-commerce transformation. The ideal candidate for this role must have demonstrated excellence in managing an International – multi-country Amazon business, leading an (Amazon) e-commerce team and activation of the 360 AMZ ‘universe’ for companies that manage the Amazon account directly and supply consumer products directly through Amazon or other key pure Player platforms. This individual must have extensive knowledge of Amazon’s ecosystem and proven results of executing e-commerce sales and advertising tactics. This individual will be BISSELL’s expert on Amazon's vendor central and advertising service platforms and will be a strong voice in the company to champion the eCommerce shopper needs. The Head of E-commerce Europe & Amazon will also have proven success managing direct reports to lead the extended BISSELL team that supports Amazon.  This position offers the chosen candidate the opportunity to be part of a high-growth and entrepreneurial commercial team, is part of a great transformation journey transitioning our organization and team from start-up to scale-up. In this role you are also part of the Global Amazon Team, with the ability to shape our Global E-commerce capabilities. In the European Organization you are a leading part of the Integrated Performance Marketing Board, working closely within the Commercial Triangle and Marketing communications to ensure we drive strong Integrated campaigns with consistency across the Purchase funnel and touch-points. 

The HoEc will be part of the European Sales leadership team, working closely together with the Commercial Director and two other European channel ‘heads’; Head of Distributor Sales and EU manager DtC. to define and execute the full EU sales strategy across all channels, working together towards achieving one regional EU sales goal.  

Successful candidates will also work closely in collaboration within the commercial triangle incl,  Commercial Policy, Operations and Marketing functions to develop sustainable growth strategies.  

  • Utilize leading edge data, information systems, and metrics around financial, brand, and shopper trends to maximize market share, sales, and profits for BISSELL and Amazon.
  • Implements a Visual Daily Management / Scrum way of working & culture to drive fast learning, decision making and continuous improvement.
  • Foster and build customer relationships at multiple levels and facilitate connectivity in other functional areas including Marketing, Supply Chain, Communications and Operations. Deliver results while maintaining the highest level of integrity.


  • Own Amazon and direct Online Pure players customer P&L and deliver profitable, sustainable growth in line with our Annual and strategic growth ambitions. Must meet customer profit and EVA objectives as established by BISSELL.  Build, develop and execute the annual sales plans, updates and budgets.
  • Constantly monitor and analyze category and ASIN performance. Use data, information systems, and metrics around financial, brand, and shopper trends to maximize market share, sales, and profits.
  • Develop strong relationships with internal marketing teams to develop winning tactics to enhance brand presence based on predictive modeling and experimentation.
  • Develop, manage and execute promotional and advertising programs. Manage advertising budgets, along with Amazon Advertising relationships, to build out key campaign strategies determining most efficient means of spending funds to meet internal KPI’s as well as meeting customer expectations.
  • Ensures campaigns are executed consistent and within the Brand guidelines and objectives in close cooperation with the European Integrated Performance Marketing Board.
  • Maintain and develop customer account base through implementation of overall marketing plan and fostering internal and external relationships. Build and maintain relationships with Amazon Vendor Managers, AVS, in-stock teams along with Amazon Advertising team.
  • Negotiate and manage trade funds to create customer and company value by consistently measuring trade terms and identifying opportunities for improvement.
  • Build key seasonal programs, by determining the right assortment and high ROI supporting tactics; plan and forecast volumes with internal teams to deliver exceptional incremental opportunities. 
  • Understand inventory management and execute forecasting process maintaining optimal coverage levels aligned upon between Amazon and BISSELL.
  • Work across both BISSELL and Amazon Supply Chain Operations to improve service levels and reduce chargebacks.
  • Be the in-house expert and repository of knowledge of all Amazon platform changes, policies, and best practices.
  • Lead BISSELL brand development in emerging Amazon platforms and programs such as Amazon Business, Direct Fulfillment, Born to Run, Bulk Product Inbound, Transparency and more. Research and explore new opportunities.

What We Require

  • Degree minimum: University degree
  • Minimum 8+ years of direct and hands-on experience in e-commerce leadership incl. sales and channel marketing with consumer goods. History of setting and delivering a growth agenda.
  • Minimum of 5+ years of direct and hands-on experience with Amazon with proven results.
  • Experience owning/managing a channel/category P&L and working with all functions across the business – marketing/operations/finance to drive the category agendas. Experience developing and managing trade budgets with history of improving spend performance.
  • Strong acumen working in Amazon Vendor Central and Amazon Advertising Platforms.
  • History of managing terms agreements and successfully negotiating complex business deals. 
  • Fluent in omni channel category management practices.
  • Interpersonal savvy; an ability to effectively work with and connect with all levels of employees across multiple functions.
  • Ability to motivate teams to produce desired tangible outcomes within tight timeframes.
  • Strong project planning, tracking & organizing skills (Visual Management and Scrum experience is a strong pre).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; must be able to present data in an organized manner. 
  • High levels of integrity, autonomy, and self-motivation.
