Our Tips for a relaxed pre-Christmas period
It’s unbelievable to think that just a moment ago we were enjoying warm summer evenings and now November is just around the corner. Where did all the time go? In just four weeks it will be the first day of Advent and that means Christmas is coming! That is when the most magical and wonderful time of the year begins, which we love to spend with our loved ones. We are looking forward to long evenings with lots of time together delicious hot drinks and freshly baked winter treats included.
Our Tips for a relaxed pre-Christmas period

And yet, every year in the last few weeks before Christmas we are yet again overwhelmed by all the to do’s and hectic last-minute challenges: What to get for Christmas presents? What will the Christmas dinner look like? Are the Christmas tree decorations still intact? While reading these questions, are you getting slightly nervous? Don’t worry! It doesn’t have to be like this! In our blog, we will give you valuable tips on what you can do to fully enjoy the Holiday Season this year!

Make yourself comfortable and enjoy it!
Everything is much easier in a relaxed atmosphere, isn't it? So, prepare yourself a delicious Glühwein or punch, snuggle up in your favorite blanket and write a to-do list for the coming weeks. This way you can combine the dull with the fun and still have an overview of all the tasks that are still to come

Get your Christmas decorations!
You will need at least one or two Christmas items to fully get you into the Christmas spirit. Whether it’s grandma's nutcracker, homemade Christmas tree decorations or fairy lights all over the house. It is best to check now whether your favorite pieces and must-haves are still working. Stress is inevitable if you notice last minute that only half of the fairy lights are working or that the top of the Christmas tree is no longer recognizable. Go Christmas shopping now ahead of the rush and avoid the stress when all the beautiful decoration is sold out – now you have time, you could even decide to do some new handicrafts yourself!

Try something new!
Whether a new cookie recipe, or homemade Christmas cards – let your creativity run wild and try something new this year! Why not involve your children or friends as well? Everyone can contribute one idea and then work on it together. This way, you will have a great team project you can be proud of.

Do something good!
Christmas is the celebration of love and charity. In our hectic everyday lives, we quickly forget that many people depend on help or are lonely especially right now because of the contact restrictions. Often it doesn’t need much at all. There may even be people in your immediate neighborhood whom you can make happy with small gestures. Beyond that, there are certainly social or animal welfare projects in your proximity, for which you can engage yourselves. No matter what you do, you will see that it is good for your soul too. And we know what we are talking about: BISSELL supports the BISSELL Pet Foundation in its global mission to save homeless animals. Therefore, we passionately develop products that make it easy to eliminate the mess of our dear furry friends and, at the same time, reduce the number of homeless animals with every purchase of these products. Here you can learn more about the BISSELL Pet Foundation.

Take time for yourself!
Despite all good and early organization, the pre-Christmas season sometimes feels like a marathon and you are happy when it is all over. This year why not try to slow down in between. Leave everything alone, delegate and take a hot bath or read a good book. You deserve it!

Last but not least: Look forward to the Christmas season! Don't worry about the dirt that can arise during the preparation, or stress about getting everything perfectly neat and tidy again between Christmas-visits. Honestly, cleaning-up should be the last thing you worry about! To make that happen, BISSELL offers you the right tool for every kind of stain and cleaning task saving you lots of time and effort.
